Abstract:

This conceptual article explores a fundamental question: Is the stock market a volatility, uncertainty,
complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) environment? Examination of key literature on the volatility of stock prices, the uncertainty caused by certain news events, the complexity of stock market instability, and the ambiguity introduced by new technologies supports the claim that the stock market is a VUCA
environment.
