Abstract:
This study explores the relationship that one’s personality, work ethic, computer self-efficacy, Internet
anxiety, computer anxiety, as well as various demographic variables have with the strength of passwords
users use with various sites that they frequently visit. Many organizations use various measurement tools
to indicate the employability of potential hires. By identifying relevant measures as it relates to password
complexity, and by extension, security posture, organizations could more quickly identify potential hires
who require more or less security training. Results and implications are discussed.
