Abstract:

Recent studies have demonstrated a link between the lack of academic integrity within the students’ group and future dishonesty in their professional lives. The author further explored this link by studying the correlation between tolerance for scholastic dishonesty and tolerance for dishonest work place practices amongst university business students. In this study, students’ perceptions in regards to scholastic dishonesty and work place practices were surveyed. Questionnaires were distributed to 520
undergraduate university students from two universities. The results indicated that students’ tolerance for scholastic dishonesty is positively correlated to his/her tolerance for dishonesty work place practices.
