Abstract:
This conceptual paper explores the influence (socially, organizationally, and within teams) of context on
team effectiveness models and the role of consultant identity. As a result, this paper introduces a new
model to explain team effectiveness and, by way of example, considers the influence of context on both the
role of consultants (their identity) and the change intervention method chosen.
