Abstract:
Healthcare professionals are vital for assisting society through public health crises, natural disasters,
and catastrophes. A review of the literature reveals many such professionals, however, are unwilling to
work during these times, for various reasons. Motivational tools are reviewed and suggestions are made
on how to best ensure healthcare workers will report for duty when they are most needed.
