Abstract:
Career preparation is arguably the most compelling reason for a post-secondary education around the
world. But what are the factors these new entrants into the workforce desire in their jobs to begin their
careers, and are their desires realistic? The researchers examined two seemingly different countries,
Spain and Singapore, which vary greatly is size, per capita GDP and unemployment rate. The variables
of country, gender, academic major, and personality type were examined, and many statistically
significant differences were found.
